209 - strolling around madrid.

Hey!

I've just been feeling very stressed about work lately. But I think, I can say I'm going to start calming down for now.

I did many interesting things around Madrid during the weekends though. Like visiting museums, rooftop bars, the mountains and attending to some street parties.

I also spent my time refurbishing an old bicycle. It is nearly ready now and I'm quite happy with the final result. Looks pretty cute (and hipster too, I know).

Just wanted to share a few pics with you. Now I'm focusing on holidays. I am preparing lots of trips, but more about that soon. Off to see the last Game of Thrones episode right now! C-ya.

Xx.

208 - donostia.

San Sebastián was our last stop before coming back to Madrid. It probably is one of my favourite cities of Spain.

Surrounded by mountains, with the Urumea river and La Concha beach, all situated in the Bay of Biscay

Of course, we also took the chance to eat some pintxos. However, I think we didn't spend the necessary amount of time to explore the city properly, we stayed enough to find out the most important views of this breathtaking city.

All in all, it was a really nice day. Then we had to rush to come back to Madrid on time as I had to go to work next day.

Happy times in the north, hope I can come back sooner rather than later.

C-ya soon.

xx. M.

207 - saint jean de luz.

Saint Jean de Luz was similiar to Bidart (where we stayed, but I didn't take any picture there) and Ilbarritz. They all have the same kind of architecture, the basque traditional houses with white walls, monochrome windows and wonderful balconies. The port was especially beautiful.

206 - ilbarritz.

Next stop was Ilbarritz. We sat down at the beach to observe surfers and walked along the coastal line. Despite being a quite snobby place, it was beautiful and quiet. I don't think I would come back to Ilbarritz in summer when it's full of tourists though, but May was just the right time.

205 - bayonne.

So, last weekend I went up north to visit San Sebastián and I also crossed the border to visit some little villages in France near the Basque Country.

They were quite painteresque and I brought my big camera with me so, get ready to see some of my colourful memories. I will start sharing the ones I took in Bayonne.

We visited it on a Sunday and the city was super quiet. Last time I went to France I also spent a Sunday wandering around some tiny towns near Toulouse, and as a Spaniard, I have to say that it really surprises me seeing how everything is closed and no one seems to be walking through the streets the last day of the weekend (maybe that just happens in small cities and villages anyway).

C-ya soon!

204 - under the weather.

Hi!

A couple of pictures from my village in Salamanca from last Easter. I spent May's long weekend up north and I will show you pictures of that soon as I am still preparing and editing them.

I can't remember the last time I was feeling completely at 100%. I have been feeling under the weather for the last two weeks. Can't wait to finally get well once and for all.

In the mean time, lots of time to use photoshop, watch game of thrones and vikings, and of course drink an absurd amount of tea chai (my absolute latest obsession!) Xx.
